(More customer reviews)Several people have pointed out that these cases are different than the cases that come with store bought bluray movies. They are correct, both in the color being slightly darker (I think this is due partly to the fact that the plastic used is thicker than ones the movies come in) and in the shape being a bit more squared off. I bought these cases because I had bought some blurays on clearance from Blockbuster, but they only came in DVD cases, but included the bluray cover slip. After transferring the cover slip and disk into the new cases and mixing them in with the rest of my movies I must say that from a few feet away its not very easy to tell which is the new case and which is the original. Im quite OCD about this kinda thing, but to me the irregularities in the OEM cases causes as much non-uniformity as the different cases, not to mention the cardboard covers some movies come with (like Terminator Salvation and Watchmen).
I have noticed recently that the quality of the cases that come with the movie have been on the decline. Some of the cases have gotten so thin that they barely hold their shape on their own. Others I have gotten (from Amazon) the clear plastic on the front has come warped or foggy or both, and many movies are coming with the cases having plastic cut out in the shape of a recyclable symbol. All these things taken into account I am highly considering buying these cases to replace all of my original cases because they seem to be a much higher quality. The bluray logo on the cases is raised, but does not have the silver on it which would be the only real downside of doing this (besides cost of course).
I do recommend these for anyone needing a replacement case, or a new case to begin with. The differences are noticeable but subtle, especially from a distance. The quality of the product is also quite good, and Im glad I made the purchase.
