(More customer reviews)This is my second Toshiba laptop.With my previous Toshiba Satellite I had only positive experience.I have also 2 HP laptops(with AMD CPUs) and one MAC PRO Pro machine.Due bad experience with both HP laptops my decision was to buy PC laptop Toshiba.I got really bad experience from January this year when I got my new A665 Satellite 3DV8.I paid money for nothing.The issues starts at the very beginning of operation.NVIDIA GPU control panel window disappeared during my first session of use.Later when I had internet access after automatic software updates-BIOS,WINDOWS 7and e.t.c. laptop starts doing strange things.During switching from normal operation to screen saver,screen saver must be active however screen became totally black and it was impossible to wake up laptop.This was followed by restarting WINDOWS 7 with error messages than again same story.During updates of NVIDIA drivers was happen also troubles.Existing drivers were removed automatically during installation of newest driver's version however followed by error messages during installation.With other words instead of installing via automatic updates NVIDIA GE FORCE GTS 350M GPU drivers old existing driver disappeared.i am guessing that all my issues came from WINDOWS 7 updates BIOS updates and and NVIDIA updates.The biggest issue for me know is that I am out of the States 5000 miles and I have to search local Toshiba authorized re-seller for assistance.I will not recommend same Toshiba laptop for purchase.Still I have MAC PRO with me working without any problems and performing very good.
