(More customer reviews)I did purchase this item for my point-and-shoot camera (2.5" LCD) and it works very well in blocking the sun/glare from the screen. My only problem, and it's a big one, is that in removing the shade itself, when you don't need it is a nice little TAB arrangement (4 TABS, 2/top and 2/bottom) made of plastic. These little tabs actually broke off within 2 weeks of purchase. Not very reliable. These should be made of a stronger material so they don't break with normal use.
