(More customer reviews)A couple of years ago, I bought the 40gb PS3. I had no problems with it until one day I was playing Fallout 3: Game of the Year edition and it suddenly froze. I restarted the console and I noticed that the game didn't appear on the game menu. I ejected the disc and I looked at it and it seemed to have a coat of moist, like the lens overheated or something. I tried putting it back on but it didn't work. I thought it was the game and put in other games and the same problem kept ocurring. I did some research and decided to buy this item. When delivered, I opened the PS3 and the blu ray drive and replaced the lens and it solved my problem. If you're having this nightmare, this is the way to go.
