(More customer reviews)The drive itself works fine. It needs 2 USB ports for power which is normal (unless you prefer carrying around an extra power brick). It's cheaper than the black model because it's missing the Blu-Ray playback software and the lack of the useless glowing blue light. Amazon's description for this product is pretty poor. "True Theater High Definition" obviously doesn't apply here and they just copied and pasted text over from the black model.
For reference this is the original black model.
