(More customer reviews)I've had this enclosure running a Hitachi 2TB drive for two weeks now. The drive is extremely cool -- you'd never know there was a HDD inside! But this is due to a really noisy fan. The fan really pulls the air through, but resonates with the case. I have the enclosure resting on a piece of foam on the carpet, but the noise still drives us nuts. I have to hold the case in my hand to get it to quiet down.
