(More customer reviews)I bought the Monster Ultra Series 600 HDMI Cable (4 ft) three months ago for $120. It is connected to my HD Cablebox, creating such clear and crisp pictures and with no problems WHAT SO EVER!
9 months ago, I bought a store brand (from a well known electronics store) $30 4 feet basic HDMI cable and had issues from day one with the following:
-horrible pictures for HD for all HD channels when used for my HD cable box
-picture flickering on and off when used for the Playstation3. (this issue has just gotten worse over time, with the picture flickering off more often than on.)
I am finally investing in another of HDMI cable from this series for the Playstation3 because I am SO PLEASED with its performance. It is much cheaper than the first one I purchased but I would STILL pay $120 for it if I had to.

(More customer reviews)I bought these cables as a last resort action to try and get my 2nd Generation Apple TV working. I kept getting a HDCP error. My TV was HDCP compatible so I tried replacing my existing HDMI cables with these.
Problem fixed. These are fully compatible with 2nd Gen Apple TV. They are good quality, heavy duty, and deliver a great picture.
I can't see any problems with the picture and that's when viewing it on a 50" 1080p plasma TV.
You can't beat the price either. I got two of these for less than half the price of one of Walmarts cheapest HDMI cables. They work a lot better too.

(More customer reviews)I am an electrical engineer with many years of experience networking digital data and with large video installations. This is a total ripoff. You don't need a mega-expensive HDMI cable. HDMI is an encrypted digital signal (basically an encrypted version of the digital DVI signal from a computer monitor), and as a digital signal, it either works or it does not. Buy an inexpensive HDMI cable. If your HDMI cable does not work properly, you'll have significant video problems and you will know it right away. There will be no subtle difference with a $100 cable over a $10 cable. Save $90.
If you think you need the highly durable cable, then buy three of the inexpensive cables. You'll still be money ahead and if you break this one, you'll have two spares.
Some people feel that they "see the difference". This is an "emperor's new clothes" argument when it comes to digital signals. As long as the data arrives at the far end, it does not matter if the 1 has been carried in hand-wound Norwegian copper wire surrounded by argon gas. As long as the circuits can tell that 1 from a 0, it won't make any difference at all. None.
