These Quantum brand blank Blue Ray discs kinda suck with Nero and DVDFAB !! When I tryed to copy a BDMV movie file onto the disc, my BD burner has trouble writing to the disc. I now have about 5 or 6 blue ray coasters (bad discs) If and when i finally get the movie file on the disc my set top player does not notice there is A disc in there or if I can get it to play I just get A black screen. I might not be burning them right, 50%/50%, user error ? ****Updated**** I got the discs to work with ImageBurn, Only, Discs dont work as far as I can tell with any other programs. These discs do scratch very easy. The proticetive layer on them is really, really thin, I can't even tell if there is one. I guess you get what you pay for. Stick to name brands for coping any type of video with other video copying programs then Imgburn. I used A LG burner, Nero 10 express (I dont like this program) and a Sony set top player. Just use these discs with Image Burn and they should work fine.

Excellent product!!! but keep this in mind 25GB / 1.073741824 = 23.3 GB of real storage. The 25GB storage "capacity" are expressed in decimal not in binary.

Verbatim 95094 DVD or Blu-ray Tall Video Storage Case, Black, 50-Pack Review

I bought 2 boxes of these Verbatim DVD Video Trimcases (50pk, Black) - so, 100 DVD thin (trim) cases back in 2009, and they were OK. The other reviewer found many of them broke recently - but all of mine were OK when I got them. I will say, the Verbatims were much better than some bulk no-name cases that looked the same, but came in bulk from some other online source that I had also used 2 years ago. The Verbatim's clear plastic was better than the bulk no-named ones. But, 3 years ago I had found some of these cases from Memorex, and the Memorex ones were the best at that time. I can not find black Memorex thin DVD cases now, and I hated the no-named bulk ones, so the Verbatims were pretty good.
HOWEVER, I just got another 50 of these in December 2009, and wow, they are MUCH better than the prior ones, and they are even better than the Memorex ones I had years ago.
The DVD button that holds the DVD is nice. The clear plastic is really thick and study. This gives a great first impression. I'm ordering another 50 right now as they are now the best I've seen.
The unfortunate aspect of these, is that so far, I've not found a good total price for them. Most of the online places want about as much for shipping and handling as they do for the cases, and I've not found a place that will provide free shipping if I spend enough with them. Amazon, if you are reading this, please cut a deal with one of the suppliers for these. In 2010, as far as I have found, there is no better for large quantities of black thin (trim) DVD cases.

Verbatim 97090 25 GB 2x Blu-ray Single-Layer Recordable Disc BD-R LTH (Low to High), 20-Disc Spindle Review

I have to say, the idea is interesting - create blank Blu-ray media in a method that can be produced with existing production lines for blank CDs and DVDs. The premise is that the lower costs to produce the disks are passed onto the consumers.
Here are the problems:
1) LTH disks are NOT compatible with all Blu-ray players, let alone all Blu-ray recorders (although most Blu-ray recorders from 2009 on can burn them).
BIG LOSS: The top-rated, top-selling Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player, released in 2009 and frequently updated by Oppo is incompatible with LTH media.
Oppo support says they are investigating, but have no commitment for a firmware update that would allow the BDP-83 to play content burned on LTH media.
2) Speed - slower than conventional Blu-ray media. On my Pioneer BDR-205 (which is an LTH compatible burner), they were slower to burn than standard "4x" media, although not by a full 2x factor (on average, about 1.4x slower).
3) Cost - in the end, is there a cost savings? Unfortunately very little. Compare this with a similar 25GB blank 20-pack BD-R (4x) media. List price is lower, but actual Amazon selling price is nearly the same.
4) Longevity - this one is subject to debate, but there are some opinions that the organic dye used by LTH media won't last as long as conventional BD-R media.
In my book, this combination of factors will shy me away from LTH media. Unless the compatibility increases, and the price difference becomes substantially different in the future, I won't be buying them again.

Verbatim BD-R LTH media is manufactured with an organic dye that turns the disc's reflectivity during recording from "low to high". Other BD-R discs use the "high to low" recording method. Additionally, BD-R LTH is manufactured on converted CD-R/DVD-R production lines, which utilize a spin coating process and allow excess materials to be recycled. These two cost-cutting measures let us pass along the savings to you. Upon introduction of the BD-R LTH media, key hardware manufacturers like Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic and LG have worked to assure that their burners are fully compatible. If your BD burner is a 2009 model or later it will most likely support recording and playback of BD-R LTH media. If your Blu-ray hardware was manufactured before 2009, check with the manufacturer for firmware updates.

3 out of 3 bad burns at 6x with Lite-On IHBS112-29 and newest firmware. I have also tried the 6x Verbatim non-LTH BD-R discs, and those burn perfectly... So if you have this drive, grab the non-LTH BD-R's.

I have bought and burned over 200 of these discs and I have never had a bad disc! Today the blank media market has been flooded with cheap discs that won't work after a few uses or even burn properly! However, this specific blank media is still high quality and won't fail.

The only reason why I gave this item lower rating is due to the fact that it does NOT work at all with LITE-ON IHBS212. I can't give a more accurate rating since I am unable to use any of them with my blu-ray burner. These disks turned out to be some pretty expensive coasters. Lite-on claims their product works with pretty much all manufacturers, but obviously not Verbatim....

These discs store up to 22.5GB total data and are supposedly more archival than the non-Gold discs. They're good quality. BUT if I have any complaints to Delkin at all, it's that they need to make 50GB BD-R versions. Are you listening Delkin?

The disk performs very well. A fist and second copy of a DVD were perfect. I had problems on a third copy. That turned out to be a problem with cleanliness of the disk. BD-RE is very sensitive to being dirty. Re-use or adding more data are very dependent on having a clean disk. So also invest in some micro-fiber cloths and maybe some coated lens cleaning solution.

Maxell Blu-ray Rewritble Dual Layer 50GB 1-2X Review

Maxell Blu-ray Rewritble Dual Layer 50GB 1-2X
Average Reviews:

I bought the Maxell BD-RE Dual Layer and the Sony brand at the same time. I used my LG burner with both to produce perfect burns...UNTIL my seventh burn. The Sony Disc (totally scratch free) now returns a burning error on every attempt and will not complete the burn. I tried a full erase with my Cyberlink software, and even the erase would not complete without this error. The Maxell BD-RE DL still continues to produce error free burns. I have a Sony BD-RE Single layer that still produces error free burns, but for my BD-RE Dual layer discs, I will continue to buy the Maxell.
