(More customer reviews)There was one selling point for this bracket...its price. There is a reason this bracket is half the price of other articulating mounts.
I didn't need anything fancy, just something to keep the TV on the wall while articulating. It does the job and I have complete confidence that the TV will not fall off, unless you adjust the pitch. Through a poor design, the brackets that hold the TV to the mounting plate increase or decrease in length with the pitch adjustment. If you adjust the keeper screws to keep the brackets on the mounting plate with the TV pitched all the way, when you then change the pitch to 90 degrees, the keeper screws will no longer be holding the bottom of the brackets to the plate. As long as you aren't moving things, it should be okay, because all the weight is carried from the top, but it's still a poor design. Also, there is nothing stopping the brackets from sliding off the side of the mounting plate.

(More customer reviews)First: the included level sucks! I checked my first line with it against my real level, and it was WAY OFF. Go buy a decent level before attempting to mount this to a wall.
Second: No where in my research did I see that this mount was intended for concrete walls only. It's clearly spelled out as such on the instructions. That said, the lag bolts were exactly what I would have purchased to mount something like this to a wall stud, so I'm quite confident that they will hold the mount & TV up fine.
Third: The TV I mounted to it is a 42" LG 42LD450. It's outside the size rating of the mount, but at less than 30 pounds, and with a VESA 200 bolt pattern, it was well within its capabilities. That said, I would not attach a 65 pound TV to this mount unless no one would ever be underneath it. It would just scare me. That much weight at the end of such a long articulating arm would put a LOT of moment of inertia on the wall mount. I got 4 screws into a stud, and I'm not afraid it would fail...but 65# is a lot of weight to have 18" away from the wall.
Fourth: The TOS link cable shipped without any kind of protective sack - it was just tumbling around in the box. Being an optical cable, I can't imagine that was good for it, but I haven't tested it to see if it works or not.
Fifth, when you do mount your TV to the bracket, I found it easier to stand behind the TV and hold it up to the mount so you can see where the holes are lining up. That way, the person attaching the screws doesn't have to try to direct you where to move - you can see it. After failing 3 times to do it from the front, I tilted the bracket up to it's maximum then held the TV in place from behind. Worked like a champ.

(More customer reviews)Well, I bought one of these to use in my RV. Mind you, the RV hasn't moved out of the drive way, it's just sitting there. First time I installed it I noticed it has a sideways motion between the swing arm and the wall mount. I didn't like that. Well I took it down to investigate the cause. It was real simple, when it was assembled for packing, someone tightened the 2 screws that hold it to the wall plate and stripped the threads. The written info on this mount says it is steel. Well if it's steel it is the poorest quality steel I have ever seen. And if it isn't aluminum, I don't know what it is. I should know, I work with this stuff everyday. Now, the RV never moved from the driveway, so it can't be claimed that the weight of the TV and bouncing down a road caused this to happen. It is just plain cheap. I would not recommend this to anyone. Poorly made, it just isn't worth it.

(More customer reviews)i used this mount for my 50" samsung and am sooo happy. it holds it securely but i can move it up, down, left or righ. there are so many different positions i can put my tv in. the install was fairly simple. i just took my time and had it done within 1 hour. very straight forward...drill holes in wall (stud or anchor) and screw in bracket with lugs, attach brackets to back of tv and hang...done

I came up with a fairly safe way to keep it in place but am still nervous about it. I would encourage selecting a different mounting unit & would not recomend this one.

It will take two people to install this. Go to Lowe's for the recessed low voltage boxes to hide wires. They have them for less than $4.
