I think this item is good, if there is any improvement space, I think you should make the configuration of this item smaller since when I use this item, the usb entries near this item are not easy to plug in

AMD ATI Radeon X1300 Pro 256 MB PCI-E Card Review

AMD ATI Radeon X1300 Pro 256 MB PCI-E Card
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The X1300 has been a reliable low-end standby for entry-level gaming systems for several years. There's no reason to avoid this card because of Vista issues (or other Windows issues). ATI Radeon cards have fewer issues than nVIDIA cards, overall, with drivers and compatibility, and the X300/1300 line has been and continues to be well-supported even with finicky, demanding games like Sims 2. I have read about many issues with nVIDIA cards with Sims 2, even when used with nVIDIA motherboards (for example).
Do your research before you buy any video card, but if you're planning to play a game with your card, research that game's forums - fansites or official - to get the real scoop on drivers and compatibility. Don't rely on an Amazon review that has nothing to do with the card or software and everything to do with Microsoft's less than stellar implementation of the Vista OS.

Step up to serious 3-D performance and image quality with ATI's Radeon X1300 Pro. For greatly enhanced visuals, the Radeon X1300 combines a radically new and efficient 3-D architecture with ATI's Avivo video and display technology. The X1300 delivers superior visual performance for all types of PC entertainment and productivity. Whether you're upgrading your present PC graphics or buying a new PC, the Radeon X1300 will easily handle today's graphics-intensive games, digital entertainment, and productivity software.
Performance, by the Numbers Under the hood you'll find 105 million transistors on a 90nm fabrication process; four pixel shader processors; two vertex shader processors; 256 MB of 128-bit, 4-channel GDDR3 memory; and a native PCI Express x16 bus interface.
The Radeon X1300 also supports impressive shader performance with Shader Model 3.0--now you can see incredible details never before visible. The X1300 also allows you to experience simultaneous high dynamic range rendering and advanced adaptive anti-aliasing for incredible enhancements to lighting contour and color details. Take the edge off of jagged wires and strands of hair, while experiencing photorealistic lighting.
Home Theater Compatibility ATI's Avivo technology, which is integrated into the X1300, promises a high-definition visual experience, delivering sharper photos, smoother video, true-to-life image representation, and universal display connectivity for driving HD displays. High-definition images come to life with remarkable clarity and color. Plus, Avivo's universal connectivity allows you to create your ideal display setup. The technology also offers accelerated MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, WMV9, VC-1, and H.264 decoding, encoding, and transcoding. In the display support department you get an integrated dual-link DVI connector, plus compliance with HDMI and HDCP connections. There's even a component output for direct connections to HDTV displays.
CrossFire: Twice the Fun With the purchase of a X1300 CrossFire Edition card, your X1300 can be upgraded to take advantage of ATI's CrossFire technology, giving you twice the power to throw at the most demanding games. Based on the same technology used with ATI-based commercial flight simulators, CrossFire soars into a new dimension of graphics capability with multiple graphics processing units (GPUs) working together in your PC. With two X1300 cards installed in your PCI Express-based PC, you can choose from three operating modes. First, Alternate Frame Rendering mode balances GPU tasks between the two cards for optimum performance. There's also a multiple load-sharing Scissor mode for compatibility with all games, as well as a Supertiling mode that divides the screen into multiple sectors that are selectively targeted by the two GPUs, offering the best load balancing between them. Note that to take advantage of CrossFire your computer must have a motherboard that is CrossFire-ready. The Radeon Xpress 200 CrossFire Edition and Intel i955X based dual-slot motherboards are supported platforms.
What's in the Box Radeon X1300 Pro video card, setup CD, DVI-I to VGA adapter, S-Video cable, composite cable, S-Video to composite cable, and HDTV output cable.

Amazing card. Thought I was going to have trouble fitting it into my case, but it slipped in with ease. Runs Witcher 2 at a steady 40-60 FPS @ 1680x1050 @ everything on the highest specs w/ ubersampling turned off. Runs Metro 2033, Crysis Warhead, Shogun II Total War, Dead Space 2, and Starcraft II extremely smooth with high or highest settings. Extremely impressed with this card. Getting better benchmarks than I've seen in reviews of this card. Will probably buy another one of these soon to run in crossfire.

MSI ATI Radeon HD6570 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card R6570-MD1GD3/LP Review

This video card is obviously focused on being a good HTPC or media center solution, but it is extremely powerful and can hold its own in the gaming world. I have a large collection of PC games, most of them on Steam, and before this card was installed, they all had to be played in low quality settings and some would still lag and give low framerates. I installed this card and everything runs like melted butter, and the catch is that my PC doesn't overheat or anything! Much better than the GeForce 210 I installed previously.
ATI is now the only brand video card I consider worthy of gaming purposes, because every Nvidia card I buy either breaks or overheats. I have had ATI Radeon in several computers now, and every time, it out-performed Nvidia in its price range. Keep in mind that I don't overclock. I keep my equipment running at stock speed.
This card, the MSI Radeon HD R6570, combined with the AMD Phenom II X4 3.2GHz Black Edition, is the best gaming hardware I ever had, and I have had a lot. My new PC, without the card, cost me $400, and with the card, it totaled $480. I was worried my PC would have too low of power to support the card, but now, it turns out the 430W PSU is plenty of juice! I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this card to all my friends.

Bought this after going through the graphic card bench mark web site. Tried this on HP 6170f with Corsair 430W PSU. Running Windows 7 64 bit system. The fan is a little louder after plugging in this card, but it can be still considered as quiet. The score on Desktop performance for windows Aero is 5.4 and on 3D business and gaming graphics performance it is 6.6.
Playing Starcraft II is much smoother on this (with 54 fps) than on the integrated ATI Readon 4200 graphics.
Overall, it is a decent gaming graphics card.

I'm not sure if the other gentleman who rated this card got a lemon but mine is quite nice, very quiet and rates better than the HIS 6850 plain version. For the money it's is a good card but not being a gamer I'll probably burn it in then pass it on to someone that needs a card with this much ability.

It's, as of this writing, AMD's flagship single GPU card. They don't make a faster one than this. Brought my windows assessment score for graphics/gaming up to 7.9 (the max) and games run great. It's a little bigger than my 5850 but it still fit in my case just fine. Having the power cables attach to the side of the card helps too.
I bought an HIS card because my last one, the 5850, performed very well and overclocked like a beast. I don't know if that will be the case for this one but HIS is a brand I trust. That, with AMD, forget about it. It's an easy decision. Buy this card. Far more performance per dollar than anything nvidia is making right now.

Use this card for light gaming, plays starcraft 2 pretty well, and for home theatre. Card uses DXVA or hardware decoding to view 1080p video flawlessly, I use a program called "media player classic home theater". It also accelerates Flash, so 1080p flash video is finally silky smooth. Had this card for a little more than a year now, and no problems yet. I also like the low energy requirements, and low profile so it will fit in almost all cases.

First off the box includes driver disc, crossfire bridge, vga adapter and case sticker and two molex to pci-express power adapters. It is a pci-e 2.1 but it will fit in a 2.0 slot which is were I am currently using it in. Installation was a breeze, card is a good size and I have included a picture of the card sitting on a standard sheet of copy paper. I used the HIS website for the most current drivers and was off and running without any problems on windows vista 64bit. The first thing I noticed was how much smoother my gameplay was on bad co. 2 and aliens vs predators on all high settings both being dx11 games I was pleasantly suprised running a resolution of 1920x1080 on 24" dell HD monitor with AA set at 4x and AF on 8 on bad co 2 I was getting frames as high as 108 and during heavy fight scenes 45 but averaging steady frames of 60 and above. Coming from a his 6850 I saw alot of improvement all around, this is the third HIS card I've owned and have yet to be dissapointed by them and would consider them my first choice in graphics cards especially there iceq models. The card puts out slightly less heat then my old 6850 but cools much better. My specs are as follow:
cpu amd phenom x4 965 stock settings of 3.4ghz
memory G.skill 8gb of ddr3 10666 timing 8-8-8-24
motherboard msi 880gm-e43
ultra x4 600w power supply
2 vertex 60gb ssd drives in raid 0
I ran a heaven benchmark an obtained a score of 817 with direct x11, shaders on high, tesselation normal, AF 4x, AA 4x, res 1920x1080 on full screen and my average fps 32.4 minimum 19.7 max 60.7 so all in all pretty impressed. This with my cpu at stock settings my goal is to overclock to 3.8ghz. I still plan on running a vantage mark 3d benchmark and will post update soon, I was just really eager to use this bad boy. I don't plan on overclocking this card as it come already factory overclocked at 840mhz vs the standard 800mhz core clock. It also boasts an impressive 2gb of ddr5 memory which should help in rendering very high resolution if you like gaming on large tv's.
As far as looks goes this thing is very sexy, I didn't think I would like the light blue or that it wouldn't match well with my case but it looks great! I have a side panel window and those massive heat pipes look awesome (NZXT M59 case if your wondering). I purchased this card in preperation of battlefield 3 :) there really was nothing wrong with my 6850 rather I was dissapointed in amd's card rebranding for the 6000 series cards so I just decided to go for the 6950 instead very happy with my choice. I will post an updated review if I encounter any issues with this card as it is still early on in my time of ownership.

Finally, a low profile, FANLESS, bitstreaming card. Ideal in a low end HTPC. Delivers beautiful Blu-Ray video and enables Blu-Ray audio bitstreaming. Blu-Ray bitstreaming, a holy grail of the HTPC crowd, used to cost $200+ (installation headaches included for free). This card will do it for under $50 although you still need a software player such as Arcsoft TMT 3 (bitstreaming feature currently in public beta). Includes two low profile brackets.
Caveat, this card is not for gamers. It's fast enough for HTPC use but slow for gaming.

Pro's: FAST! crushes anything I throw at it with all settings maxed out both on the card and in the game.
Cons:Coil Whine! if you read a lot of forums around the net you will see several complaints about something called coil whine, it only does it when your in a game and some may mistake it for fan noise but you will hear a mild static whine or a loud buzzing. This is perfectly normal for higher voltage cards and I was lucky enough for it to go away on it's own. I was ready to take this back the same day but decided to play around with it and see what I could do. Once I maxed out everything on it and ran it in Crysis 2 for about an hour it went away.
Use AfterBurner and change the fan to about 40-45% this will cool things down and cover some of the noise, Run something graphic heavy for a bit and see if it goes away. I have read that one of the only ways to make it go away is to take it apart and use silicon on the coil.
Enough on that,
I upgraded from a 6870 and because it is only one generation up I did not expect a huge difference, what a surprise! This machine was a beast before but now it's just down right insane!
System Specs,
AMD Phenom II BE x4 3.4 GHZ OC'd to 3.8
16gb DDR3 1333
Asus EVO
Cooler Master Silent Pro 800w 80 plus gold
Cooler Master V6 GT
I was only going to give it 4 stars but because that annoying noise went away I gave it 5.

I bought this card based on the other 5 star recommendations and it's cost. I installed it in a new PC I built that has a FOXCONN A74ML-K 3.0 motherboard and Windows 7 64-bit for the OS. The motherboard has Integrated ATI® Radeon(tm) 2100 graphics and 5.1 channel HD Audio. I thought that since this card also has Radeon Graphics and ATI drivers that my chances of having everything work together were pretty good. First off, Windows 7 is not listed as a supported OS on the box System Requirements list. However, there is a Windows 7 64-bit compatible universal driver on the ATI Catalyst support website (released 12/13/2010). I installed this driver. The graphics seems to work well, although I'm not a big gamer. "Then why did you buy this card", you ask? Because I wanted an HDMI output that did not come with the mainboard (it was an afterthought requirement). And this leads me to my problem. Although the graphics works fine the sound does not come through on the HDMI port. There are all sorts of people with this problem with ATI related cards. I've tried all the supposed "fixes" and nothing has worked so far. So I really could have accomplished what I have with a DVI to an HDMI converter. But I have to say that the Windows experience score for graphics and gaming on the PC went from 3.7 and 3.4 to 6.7 for both. So, if that's what you need it seems to be a good card, but if you want sound through the HDMI port than look somewhere else.
Update - I found the driver necessary for this to work including the sound through HDMI. Therefore, I'm changing my review rating. I could go to 4 stars because it was a hassle finding the right driver. However, I'm rating this 5 stars because now that it is working, it works great! BTW - if you find yourself in the same situation the driver that I used is the one on the ATI Radeon site (AMD) called "AMD Catalyst(tm) Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Technology Edition" issued 12/13/2010 with a size of 88.9 MB.

Great product, high quality. I bought this as an alternative to a straight up adapter because I didn't want that much stress on the DisplayPort on my laptop. Cable has survived a lot of abuse and still works great. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a nice looking, great performing, yet cheap DP-DVI adapter.

I was almost sad to see it go as I dropped it off at UPS today for a refund. After about a week of troubleshooting with HP about why it would lock-up after two hours or so, they reported that it must have had defective hardware.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS (FINISH, HEAT, QUIETNESS)
When I first took it out of the box and powered it on, I loved it! The aluminum finish was the biggest plus for me. After an hour or so setting it up and installing (and uninstalling) software, the entire unit (save for the plastic heat outlet) was still cool to the touch. And it was incredibly quiet, too. I don't think I ever heard the fans wind up in the week that I had it. The low setting that they were on was hardly audible.
SCREEN
The screen was brilliant, though vertical viewing angles were unimpressive. Colors were great out of the box. I chose not to play with the ATI display settings. The 1600x900 resolution is a good choice for this screen size. I wouldn't go any lower, and while I would still go higher, that is only to satisfy my greed.
KEYBOARD
The keyboard had a generally positive feel to it. I didn't have time to get accustomed to the keyboard layout. I'm used to my HP dv4 which does not have a numberpad. And the fact that I used my dv4 for trouble-shooting purposes for the better part of the week didn't help. One of my favorite features, though, was the integrated action keys like you find on Macs. The function keys up top are, out of the box, primarily used for functions such as play/pause, volume up/down, brightness up/down etc. You don't need to press the fn key to access the functions. If this is undesirable, there is a toggle in the bios setup.
TOUCHPAD
The touchpad is a serious design problem for me, though I knew what I was getting into when I ordered it. I am pretty readily adaptable to keyboards and touchpads, so I figured it wouldn't be a problem. Truth be told, I wouldn't have a problem if I kept it. It was just an annoyance. Let me clarify: When I'm using the touchpad, I like to keep my index finger on the mouse button while my middle finger does the tracking. Since the touchpad is an entire unit, with the buttons integrated beneath the sensitive track pad, any movement of my index finger would send the cursor in a frenzy across the screen. It wouldn't take terribly long to get used to, though. And tapping the top-left corner twice disables or enables the touchpad, so accidentally moving the cursor when typing isn't a worry.
AUDIO
Sound quality was a big factor in choosing this laptop. It had a brand-name moniker (apparently well respected, so I'm told), so I figured it must have been something special.
Let me be clear up front: If you are looking for sound quality, YOU WILL NOT FIND IT HERE. The laptop speakers themselves sound good, with the built-in subwoofer carrying some of the lower frequencies you don't typically find in a notebook. But this does not mean the unit sounds good. There is some filter applied, which I could not find for the life of me, that was heavily COMPRESSING the sound (boosting the quiet sounds while ruthlessly drawing-back the loud sounds). It made listening to music with the on-board speakers literally painful at times (play a song by Atreyu with lots of cymbals and it will sound like you're underneath a helicopter from the dramatic volume cuts with each hit of a cymbal). I searched all over, and even reinstalled Windows and updated drivers, and nothing would fix the problem. On the other hand, sound through the minijack was great. The output was strong, though it seems the low-mids were boosted a little as compared to my dv4 with IDT HD audio.
This whole Beats thing though is a complete gimick. Out of the box, the bass and treble controls in Windows are set to full boost, which sounds like crap. By toggling the "Beats" feature (fn+b), it simply turns the bass all the way up (on), or all the way down (off). Not intuitive at all! Also, the control panel is the exact same as my dv4's IDT control panel, but with the Beats logo stamped in some places. I am much more pleased with the Altec Lansing setup on my HP dv4.
PERFORMANCE
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to test the performance of the laptop. I did have pretty high expectations, though, as I'm coming from (actually, currently typing on) an older AMD laptop with integrated graphics. I used to be pretty interested in computers and could tell you how certain components would perform, but over the years I lost touch with that side of me. Now days, I don't know how the AMD phenom stacks up. My understanding (confirmed by a few searches) is that AMD has gotten increasingly closer to Intel's competing processors, but is still a little behind in most regards. I'm guessing that ATI graphics processor is in the midrange as far as GPUs go. With its stay on my desk, it never felt underpowered, though I admittedly did nothing to truly exercise it. When purchasing, I felt that this laptop had an outstanding price-spec ratio, which helped me pull the trigger.
BATTERY LIFE
Another thing I never got to try. If it can live up to its claim of 7.5 hours, then that is very impressive for a laptop of this size (in my opinion). More time than I would ever need in one sitting. Truthfully, I don't doubt that number can be seen if settings are kept low and activity is kept reasonable.PROS
stunning aluminum finish, nice screen, runs very cool and quiet, good featureset for the price
CONS
touchpad can be finicky, pathetic Beats audio, disc drive eject button can be challenging to pressI'll miss most the sleek and stylish aluminum finish. I'll forget the somewhat quirky touchpad. I'm glad to be away from the terrible Beats audio.
...
I know I didn't delve into as much as some would like, but due to my unit being defective, I spent most of my time focusing on getting it working rather than putting it through its paces. I hope my review can be of at least some value to most.
*Note: My dv7 being defective has no effect on my rating. All manufacturers have duds, and I'm still in a positive relationship with HP.
